Scott Beard-Chief of Staff

Scott Beard brings a unique blend of high-stakes leadership, entrepreneurial experience, and operational expertise to his role as Chief of Staff at The Berik Group. Before entering healthcare leadership, Scott served 31 years as an air traffic controller—an elite, high-performance career that demands precision, calm decision-making, and exceptional communication under pressure. He is also a graduate of the FAA’s Emerging Leader Program, where he refined his skills in systems thinking, team leadership, and organizational development.

Scott’s journey within The Berik Group began as COO and CFO of Newton Dental Associates, where he helped modernize operations, strengthen financial performance, and support the practice’s evolution into one of Greater Boston’s premier multi-specialty dental centers. When Bubble Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics opened, he expanded his leadership to oversee construction management, operational systems, staffing, branding, and financial planning—successfully guiding the practice from startup to one of the region’s most recognized pediatric and orthodontic destinations.

He later played the same foundational role in launching Boston Oral Surgical & Endodontic Associates, directing the build-out, technology integration, infrastructure, and business operations of a high-end surgical center on Boston’s waterfront. These combined experiences now inform his role as Chief of Staff overseeing operations, strategy, and organizational alignment across all Berik Group practices.

Scott’s professional background also includes more than 30 years of running and growing private businesses in retail, publishing, and real estate. These ventures sharpened his expertise in operations, fiscal management, branding, customer experience, and relationship building—core skills that have directly supported the startup and expansion of NDA, Bubble, and BOSEA. His ability to scale systems, develop teams, and drive multi-location growth is rooted in this wide-ranging entrepreneurial foundation.

Today, Scott’s blend of aviation discipline, business leadership, and hands-on operational experience makes him a key driver of The Berik Group’s continued growth and its unwavering commitment to excellence.

Outside of his professional work, Scott is an avid boater who has navigated the East Coast from Maine to Miami. He holds a U.S. Coast Guard 100 Ton Master Captain’s License—a credential requiring extensive navigation training, safety certification, and hundreds of documented hours at sea. This lifelong passion reflects the same discipline, preparedness, and commitment to excellence he brings to his leadership at The Berik Group.
